Background
Marco Rengan has over 20 years of experience in the Personal Computer and high technology industry. He is a specialist in new product introduction and brand marketing globally, demonstrated by the success of IBM’s IntelliStation workstation. Mr. Rengan began his career enhancing Motorola’s early mobile-phone and digital exchange and then moved to IBM. He was advisory engineer and project manager for ThinkPad systems; advanced technology manager for the introduction of video conferencing, collaborative software, and speech processing in IBM PCs; and worldwide marketing director for the Linux-based xSeries server. He founded RiverData Systems Inc. and served as CEO of the company. His experience includes the US, Canada and Latin America Distribution and Sales channel for Small and Medium Businesses. He has developed marketing strategies for Mobile products including the latest Netbooks, laptops and workstations.
Mr. Rengan received his MBA degree from Duke University, an MS in Management of Technology from the University of Miami, and an MS in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) from the University of Cincinnati. In addition, Marco has a BSEE from the University of Dayton and a BS in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology (Kharagpur). He holds eight patents, and he has received multiple awards for his innovative work. He has served on the Board of Directors for a non-profit and is currently an advisor to a startup.
Personal
Marco and his wife Jill have a beautiful daughter and live in Chapel Hill, NC. He enjoys playing music and is a vocalist and instrumentalist with his church choir. Marco is an aspiring gourmet chef of traditional Indian and Italian cuisine.
